STEP back
to yesteryear
Elk Glade Outfitters caters to experienced hunters, but of equal importance, we are proud of our ability to introduce adventure oriented people to the thrill and magnificence of big game hunting. Elk Glade Ranch provides professional guides. Our guides are patient and excellent in assisting seasoned professionals or teaching those new to the sport. We are here to make you comfortable whether this means enhancing your skills built over many years or introducing you for the first time to an unrivaled sporting experience. We’re proud of our guides and know that you will be impressed as well.
We look forward to making your Elk Glade and East Beaver Valley experience all that it can be, and we hope to see you for many subsequent years. We’re exceptionally proud of the number of repeat guests we see year after year — many who return with friends, family and children. We work hard to create and preserve an environment that fosters lifelong friendships, family bonding and memories.

A Proven, Personalized Hunting Experience
We are proud of our remarkable success rate — whether you hunt with a bow or rifle, our results are three to four times higher than Colorado’s state average bull elk take rate of 8%. Season dates matter less here than the moon cycle and weather patterns, thanks to our remote valley, which experiences virtually no outside hunting pressure beyond our own operations.
While no hunt comes with a guarantee, we are deeply committed to giving every guest an experience they’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Where Comfort Meets the Wild
After a full day in the field, you’ll return to the warmth of a restored, over 115-year-old miner’s hotel, a rustic yet welcoming ranch house managed by the Johnson and Hammond families. This isn’t a tent or drop camp — it's real comfort in the backcountry.
Enjoy hot showers, indoor facilities, hearty meals, drinks, and even a celebratory cigar as you share stories and laughter with fellow hunters. It’s this mix of comfort and camaraderie that makes Elk Glade truly special.
For the Seasoned and the Newcomer Alike
We cater to experienced hunters while also taking pride in introducing adventure-seekers to the thrill and grandeur of big game hunting. Our guides are patient, skilled, and excellent with both seasoned professionals and those new to the sport.
With access to vast, privately held and leased land, we can offer a variety of experiences — from gentle terrain for those avoiding steep hikes, to challenging, remote acreage for hunters who want to push deep into the wilderness in pursuit of a trophy bull or buck.
