elkglade.com moved to Cloudflare Workers this spring. Here's what changed, what didn't, and what's coming next.

The site you're reading is brand-new — same name, same ranch, completely rebuilt underneath.
If you visited before this spring, you saw a Squarespace template. It worked, but it couldn't keep pace with everything we want to publish: hunt recaps, harvest reports, gear notes, ranch life through the season. The 2026 rebuild moves elkglade.com onto a stack we can actually publish on.
What stayed the same: the lodge, the canyon, the team, the price of an elk hunt, the phone number. What changed: page load is roughly 4× faster, every photo is self-hosted on Cloudflare's edge, the booking flow goes straight to Xola without a third-party redirect, and we now have a journal that we'll be posting to three times a week starting this summer.
If you've ever wanted to know what a Colorado guided elk hunt actually costs — including the parts most outfitters won't put in print — that's on the hunting page now in full. If you've ever wanted to read about the ranch's history — the 1888 founding, the 1929 homestead, the family that runs it now — that's on the Roots page.
We'll be posting from the ranch through the season. Field notes, draw-deadline reminders, what we're seeing on the trail cams, what's open and what's closed. Bookmark the journal.
Ride true. Live free. Stay wild.
